Mahoning County ARES Registration
| All Mahoning County amateur radio operators
who would like to volunteer to help with public service and disaster communications
need to register with ARES so they can be notified of events, training, exercises, and activations.
We encourage all volunteers to complete the NIMS IS 100, 200, 700, and 800 courses. They are not
required to register but may be required by some of the organizations we serve. Mahoning County EMA
requires all volunteers to complete the four NIMS courses and IS-288.
